How to Merge PDFs Into One File (Without Uploading Them)

Updated Jul 23, 2026 1 min read No upload — runs in your browser

To merge PDFs, open the Merge PDF tool in your browser, add the files, put them in the order you want, and download one combined PDF. Nothing is uploaded — the documents are joined on your own device.

Applications and filings almost always want one PDF: a contract plus its annexes, a set of statements, an ID plus a proof of address. Merging is the job, and it shouldn’t require handing your documents to a third party.

Merge in your browser

  1. Open Merge PDF.
  2. Add the PDFs you want to combine.
  3. Reorder them with the arrows until the sequence is right.
  4. Download the single, merged PDF. Nothing was uploaded.

Get the order right

The final document follows the on-screen order, top to bottom. A couple of things save rework:

  • Name files by their order first (1-contract.pdf, 2-annex.pdf) if you’re adding many, since file pickers sort alphabetically.
  • Check the last page of each file — stray blank pages are easiest to notice before merging. To drop pages, use Organize PDF first.

Frequently asked questions

Can I set the order the PDFs are merged in?

Yes — arrange the files in the order you want before merging, and the pages combine in exactly that sequence.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

No hard limit and no watermark. Very large merges use more memory since it all happens in your browser, but there's no file-count cap.

Are the PDFs uploaded to be merged?

No. Merging happens in your browser, so contracts and statements are joined without ever being sent to a server.

Will merging change the original files?

No — it produces a new combined PDF and leaves your source files untouched.
