Is a signature made this way legally valid?

This tool places a simple electronic signature — an image of your signature in the document, the same kind most e-sign tools apply. Simple e-signatures are widely accepted for everyday agreements under laws like the US ESIGN Act, UETA and the EU’s eIDAS regulation, but some documents (wills, notarized deeds, some court filings) require more. This is not legal advice — when in doubt, ask a professional.

Is my document or signature uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is rendered, signed and rebuilt entirely in your browser — there is no upload endpoint, and it works with Wi-Fi off. If you choose to remember your signature, it is stored in this browser’s local storage only, and you can forget it with one click.

Is this a certified digital signature?

No — it is a visual signature, not a certificate-based cryptographic signature, so PDF readers will not show a "digitally signed" banner. For everyday contracts that is exactly what the mainstream tools apply too; certificate-based signing requires an identity-verified certificate from a trust provider.

Can I fill in forms too?

Yes — besides signatures you can place dates, checkmarks and free text anywhere on any page, which covers most flat forms.

Are there limits or watermarks?
