Compress image.

Large images slow down websites, fill up storage, and bounce off email size limits. This compressor re-encodes your image at a quality you choose, cutting the file size while keeping it looking sharp. It runs entirely in your browser with the same codecs Squoosh uses — your images are never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Does compressing reduce image quality?

For JPG, WebP and AVIF, lower quality means a smaller file with some visible trade-off — the slider lets you balance it. PNG is lossless, so it is re-encoded without quality loss but with smaller potential savings.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Compression happens entirely in your browser. There is no upload endpoint, so it works even offline.

What formats can I compress?

JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF. The output keeps the same format as the input.
